The Problem
You've tried apps, but you still can't speak.
📱
Apps teach you words, not conversation

You've got 500 words and a 200-day streak, and when someone actually asks how you are, nothing comes out. Recognising a word on a screen and producing it under mild pressure are different skills.

😵
No structure — you don't know what comes next

One day food vocabulary, the next directions, then a grammar video you didn't finish. Without an order, everything stays at the same shallow depth.

⏰
You don't practise consistently

You skip a day, then a week, and coming back feels like starting over — so you don't. The plan that survives is the one built around the minutes you actually have.

😔
Nobody tells you how long it really takes

Most plans promise a level and stay quiet about the hours behind it. Knowing that A1 takes around 90 hours and A2 roughly double is deflating for a week and useful for a year.

Questions
Everything you need to know.
Can I really reach A2 in 90 days?
It depends on your hours and your language pair, and the plan does that arithmetic before making any claim. A2 is usually associated with roughly 180-200 hours of guided study. At 20 minutes a day for 90 days you'll have about 30 hours — a genuine A1 foundation, not A2. At an hour or more a day with a language close to your own, A2 comes into range. The calculator shows your own number rather than a headline.
Isn't that a disappointing answer?
For about a week, yes. But the reason most 90-day language plans fail isn't laziness — it's that people measure themselves against a promise nobody could have kept, decide they're bad at languages, and stop. Knowing the real number at the start is what makes month two survivable.
What languages does this work for?
Any of them — Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic and beyond. Resources adapt to your target language, and the calculator accounts for how far it is from your native one, which changes the timeline substantially.
I only have 10-15 minutes a day. Is that worth doing?
Yes, with realistic expectations. Fifteen minutes daily for three months is around 22 hours — enough to handle greetings, basic needs, and simple exchanges, and enough to keep going. It won't get you to conversational, and the plan will say so rather than stretching the timeline until the promise fits.
Do I need a tutor or language partner?
Not to start. There are role-play prompts you can run on your own and a method for recording and self-evaluating. A free exchange partner on an app like HelloTalk or Tandem accelerates things noticeably, and there's guidance on finding one and opening the first message.
What if I miss a few days?
Pick up where you left off — the review schedule is built to absorb a missed week. The rule that matters is never missing two days in a row, because that's where a pause turns into a stop.
