Is this veterinary advice?
No, and it says so before anything else. It's general breed information — it can't examine your animal and it doesn't diagnose. What it does is tell you what your breed is prone to and what to ask your vet about, which makes the appointment far more useful. It also flags the emergency signs that mean going now rather than reading on.
How does the personalization work?
You enter the breed or mix, age, where they came from, any known conditions and what's puzzling you. Origin matters more than people expect — a puppy from a breeder and an adult rescue of unknown history need different plans, and different questions asked of the vet.
What if my dog is a mixed breed?
Say which breeds if you know, and it covers the relevant traits and risks from each. If you don't know, it says so honestly rather than guessing — identifying breed from appearance is unreliable even for professionals, and a DNA test is the only way to actually find out. A plan built on a wrong guess is worse than a general one.
Will it be honest about the breed's downsides?
It's instructed to be. That includes the parts breed enthusiasts tend to skip — where the animal's own conformation causes problems, what that means for breathing, heat, anaesthesia or spinal risk, and what it means for lifetime cost. A guide that lists only charms is how people end up with an animal they can't live with.
Can I use this before getting a dog?
