The Problem
Nobody ever actually taught you this.
🤷
School taught algebra, not file management

Work assumed you'd pick it up. You did, mostly — but the gaps are the things that cost you twenty minutes a day, every day.

😳
Asking for help feels embarrassing

Your kids sigh, colleagues assume you know. So you keep doing it the slow way rather than admit you never learned the fast one.

🎣
Feeling unsure online makes you a target

Scams are designed to work on people who aren't certain what's normal — which is exactly why knowing the patterns matters more than knowing the software.

💸
Digital literacy courses cost $200–1,000

And most start above where you are, assuming the basics you actually wanted covered.

Questions
Everything you need to know.
How does the personalization work?
You rate six skills, say which devices you use and what actually frustrates you. Everything after that is specific — shortcuts for your device rather than a mixed Windows and Mac list, and lessons ordered by which gap is costing you the most time.
I'm a senior. Is this for me?
Very much so, and it's written without the tone people usually get. It starts by naming what you already know, explains every unavoidable technical word in the same sentence, and never assumes prior knowledge. Ten minutes a day is the whole commitment.
What does it teach about scams?
The specific patterns rather than vague caution: nobody legitimate phones unprompted asking to access your computer, no real organization wants gift cards, no bank asks you to move money to a 'safe account', and urgency is always the tell. Plus the one rule that defeats most of it — hang up and call back on the number from your card, never the one you were given.
I only have a phone. Does that work?
Yes. Say so and the whole plan becomes phone-based — app organization, phone search, photo backup, settings and safety. No computer required at any point.
Could the fix-it tool make things worse?
It's constrained specifically against that. It won't tell you to disable security software, install anything from outside an official store, or give anyone remote access — and if a fix genuinely needs that, it tells you to use a trusted local technician or official support instead. It also tells you what to back up before anything changes.
Will this help at work?
The shortcuts and file management usually show up within days, because they're the things you repeat dozens of times daily. The confidence part takes a bit longer and matters more — being willing to try something rather than waiting for someone else to do it.
