The problem
Your doctor said 'eat protein' and left it there.
🍞
Empty portions

What you manage to eat is mostly bread, crackers, and whatever's easiest.

💪
Losing more than fat

Without enough protein, muscle goes along with the weight.

🤢
Nausea windows

Some hours are impossible, and nobody told you to plan food around them.

❓
No numbers

You don't know what a realistic target looks like on an appetite this small.

Questions
Everything you need to know.
Does this replace my prescriber's advice?
No. It's a meal structure to use alongside the guidance you already have. Your protein target, and any supplements, should be confirmed with your clinician or a dietitian.
What if I'm too nauseous to eat protein?
Never force it. The plan leans on dense, sippable, and cold options that deliver protein in small volumes, and treats a bad day as a bad day rather than a failure.
Will my hair thin?
Thinning is usually linked to eating too little overall rather than the medication itself, which is why the plan protects protein and key nutrients first. Persistent shedding is worth raising with your doctor.
Does the plan change as my dose goes up?
Yes – higher doses usually mean smaller portions and more liquid or cold options, so the plan has a version for each stage.
When should I contact my doctor?
If you can't keep fluids down, are vomiting persistently, feel faint, or are losing weight much faster than expected, that's a call to make rather than a meal to plan around.
