The Problem
The advice is written for hair that isn't yours.
🔬
Texture is the part everyone talks about and the least useful

Porosity and condition change what your hair needs far more than whether it's wavy or curly — and they're the parts nobody explains.

📱
Product advice is somebody else's hair on video

The serum that transformed theirs may do nothing for yours, and the shelf of half-used bottles is what that costs.

🔥
Some of the damage isn't reversible

Split ends can only be cut. Heat and bleach damage can be managed and disguised, not repaired — and the products promising otherwise are describing appearance.

🩺
Sometimes it isn't a hair problem at all

Thinning and shedding can mean thyroid issues, iron deficiency or a medication effect. Months of buying serums is time not spent getting a blood test.

Questions
Everything you need to know.
Will it tell me which products to buy?
It teaches you to read the label instead, and that's the deliberate choice. Formulations change, products get discontinued, and availability differs by country — a named recommendation goes stale, whereas knowing which two or three ingredients matter for your hair stays useful. It also tells you where price buys something real and where the cheap version does the same job.
What is porosity, and can I test it at home?
It's roughly how readily your hair takes up and holds moisture, and it changes which products suit you more than texture does. But the toolkit is honest that the floating-strand test is folklore rather than a test — porosity is inferred from how your hair behaves with water and product, and treated as a starting point to adjust from.
Can this help with hair loss or thinning?
It will tell you to see a doctor, clearly rather than as a footnote. Increased shedding, patchy loss, a changing hairline or a sore scalp can be thyroid disease, iron deficiency, autoimmune conditions or medication effects, and no shampoo addresses any of them. It also won't recommend growth supplements — they help only an actual deficiency, and high-dose biotin interferes with several common blood tests.
My hair is bleached and damaged. Can it be repaired?
Honestly, not repaired — managed. Split ends can only be cut, and structural damage from bleach or heat can be smoothed and disguised but not undone. What you get is how to protect what's left, how to make it look and behave better, and a realistic timeline based on how slowly hair actually grows.
Will it tell me to stop using heat?
It'll tell you what heat is doing and how to reduce the damage — protectant, the lowest setting that works, and heat-free days — rather than issuing a ban you'll ignore. A routine you abandon in a fortnight helps nobody.
How long before I see a difference?
Some things change on the first wash, mostly how hair looks and feels. Real change is measured in weeks, because that's how fast hair grows — which is why the toolkit builds in a 30-day check-in and asks you to change one variable at a time rather than judging every morning.
