The Problem
Too much of the wrong thing, and the charger's at home.
🧳
A bag of favourites gives fewer outfits than half as many pieces

Nothing goes with anything. Five tops that work with two bottoms is ten outfits; seven of each that clash is a heavy bag and the same three combinations.

👟
Shoes are the heaviest thing you'll regret

The fourth pair goes unworn on almost every trip, and takes the space that made the bag too big to carry on.

🔌
The forgotten item is always the same five things

Charger, adapter, medication, the thing you bought specially. All cheap at home and expensive at an airport.

⚠️
Some things simply can't go in the hold

Power banks, spare lithium batteries, prescription medication. Put them in the wrong bag and it's not an inconvenience — it's a problem at the gate.

Questions
Everything you need to know.
Can I really fit a week in a carry-on?
Usually yes, in mild weather with a palette that combines and one sink wash. In deep winter, with bulky boots and a coat, honestly often not — and the toolkit says so rather than insisting. What it will do is show you what carry-on would actually require, so it's your decision rather than a surprise at the gate.
Does it check the weather for my dates?
No, and it says so rather than pretending. It works from typical conditions for that destination and season, then tells you to check a real forecast a few days out and adjust. A packing list generated weeks ahead can't know it'll rain.
What does it say about medication?
That it goes in hand luggage, in original labelled packaging, with a few days' extra and a copy of the prescription. And the thing most packing lists leave out entirely: some medicines that are ordinary at home — certain painkillers, cold remedies and ADHD medications — are restricted or illegal in other countries, so check the destination's rules well before you fly.
What about liquid limits and bag sizes?
It gives the general principle and tells you to confirm the specifics with your airline. Those limits vary by country and airline and they change — a confidently stated dimension is exactly the kind of thing that gets someone repacking at check-in.
I'm packing for a family with kids.
Say how many people and their ages and the list covers everyone. The combination logic matters even more with children, since their bags are the ones that quietly double the total.
Is this a subscription?
No — a one-time purchase of $7. New list per trip, and the overpacking check is worth rerunning each time, because the habit comes back.
