Help your rescue pet feel home.
20% of rescue pets are returned within the first year — almost always because of preventable adjustment issues. AI builds a 3-3-3 decompression plan so your new family member stays forever.
The Problem
Your rescue pet isn't broken — they're adjusting.
20% of adopted pets are returned to shelters within the first year
Not because they're 'bad pets' — because owners didn't know what to expect in the first 90 days.
Hiding, not eating, growling, and accidents are NORMAL — but terrifying
You think something is wrong with your pet when it's actually textbook decompression behavior.
Shelters give you a pamphlet, not a real adjustment plan
A one-page handout can't prepare you for the first week — let alone the first 3 months.
Behavioral trainers charge $100–$200/session for problems patience would fix
Most rescue behavior issues resolve naturally with the right approach — you just need to know what it is.

Questions
Everything you need to know.
What is the 3-3-3 rule?
It's the standard framework for rescue pet adjustment. First 3 days: your pet is overwhelmed — they may hide, refuse food, and seem shut down. This is decompression, not rejection. First 3 weeks: they start learning your routine, testing boundaries, and showing their real personality (which may include behaviors they suppressed at the shelter). First 3 months: they finally feel safe and settle into being your pet. The AI personalizes this framework for your specific animal.
My rescue pet won't eat — should I be worried?
Not eating for the first 1-2 days is completely normal for rescue pets — stress suppresses appetite. The AI explains exactly how long is normal for your specific pet (dogs vs. cats have different thresholds), what to try (warming food, hand-feeding, quiet feeding spot), and when it crosses into 'call the vet' territory. Most pets start eating within 48 hours once they feel safe.
My rescue is aggressive toward my other pet — did I make a mistake?
Almost never. Early aggression between a rescue and a resident pet is usually resource guarding, fear, or territorial stress — all of which are manageable with proper introduction protocols. The Behavior Decoder explains what's happening and the Trigger Management Plan builds a gradual, safe introduction process. Rushing introductions is the #1 mistake — most pets coexist peacefully within 2-4 weeks with the right approach.
Does this work for cats too?
Yes. Rescue cats follow the 3-3-3 rule too, but their adjustment looks different — they hide more, may refuse to use the litter box initially, and bond more slowly. The AI adjusts the entire plan for feline-specific behavior: safe room setup, slow territory expansion, scent-based bonding, and how to read cat body language (which is very different from dogs).
When should I actually worry vs. just be patient?
The AI includes red flag alerts for each phase. General rules: not eating for 3+ days (dogs) or 2+ days (cats) needs a vet call. Aggression that escalates rather than decreases after 2 weeks needs a trainer. Complete shutdown (won't move, won't respond) for more than 48 hours needs professional assessment. The Behavior Decoder tells you the specific line for YOUR pet's situation.
